Prior to working at Clinton Elementary I worked as a substitute teacher with Anderson County Schools and I was a family support worker with the Anderson County Health Council.  I have taught physical education at Etowah Elementary School in Etowah, TN. and Van Buren County, TN at Spencer and Mountain View Elementary Schools.

While working on my master's degree at MTSU I taught backpacking/camping, tennis, bowling, and swimming as a graduate teaching assistant.

Bio

I am married and have 3 daughters. My oldest daughter, Samantha, graduated MTSU with a degree in Music Business. She is currently working at the Museum of Appalachia full-time employment.  My middle daughter, Serra, is a TN Wesleyan graduate.  She majored in exercise science and is the assistant lacrosse coach at Catholic High School and a P.E. teacher with Knox County Schools at Farragut Primary.  My youngest, Stefanie is an elementary education teacher at Andersonville Elementary.

I love sports! I particularly enjoy football and basketball and attending high school games.  Fall is probably my favorite season-cool, crisp air & football season!

I personally enjoy running.  I ran track and cross country in high school.  I have been trying to run consistently for the past 12 years.  You may see me running at Jaycee Park, Norris, Songbird trail at the dam or around the high school.  I completed my first half marathon in 2015 in Chattanooga and my second in Oak Ridge in November and my third was the Knoxville half in April 2016.  I have completed many 5Ks and especially enjoy the Clinton 5K!  I hope to see you out exercising!
