Mrs. Jenna Sharp
Welcome to Clinton Elementary School 2019-2020
Welcome to the beginning of a wonderful year of learning at Clinton Elementary School. We are excited about the opportunity to guide your child for this upcoming academic journey. This is my ninth year as an administrator at Clinton Elementary and my eighteenth year as an educator. We wanted to inform you of several staff changes and additions at CES.
Ashley Brock - Mrs. Ashley Brock has joined the 2nd grade team this year. Mrs. Brock filled in for Mrs. McCoy last year as an interim teacher. We are excited to have her full time this year.
Megan Mohney- Megan has been our ESL teacher at CCS for the last two years. She is joining us as a third grade teacher this year. She replaced Mrs. Simmons, who took a job closer to home. Megan will be a fantastic addition to our team!
Ariel Price - Welcome Mrs. Ariel Price to CES as our new guidance counselor! Many of you may know Ariel from the time that she spent at CES interning with Mrs. Rhea. Mrs. Rhea will be staying home next year with sweet Gabby!! Ariel also has the cutest baby girl, Adalyn! Please welcome her to CES!
Laura Roop - We are excited to have Mrs. Roop back! If you don’t know Laura, she previously taught K at CES and has enjoyed staying home with her two sons for the last year and a half! She will be teaching 3rd grade!
Tara Ward - Mrs. Tara Ward joins us as our school nurse. We are thrilled to have her. She will have a K baby at CES, so she will be fully invested in our school and her new position! She also has a student that will be a Freshman and a son that attends Wee Ministry!
Morgan Webster – Mrs. Webster will be joining us as a Kindergarten teacher this year. Morgan is a local Clinton resident. She interned with us last year in 1st and 5th grade. Morgan did a phenomenal job with our students, and we are glad that she will be joining the CES family.
Morning Drop Off
Parents may drop students off in the back of the school in the car rider line. Students will also be able to enter into the front door by the office. Students need to exit the vehicle through the door closest to the school for safety purposes. PLEASE do not use any parking areas for drop off points and do not pull into the second lane of traffic in the back to drop your child off. This places your child in great danger of stepping into the designated oncoming flow of traffic.
We will send home cards with each student in all grades the first week of school. Please take note that all children will be bringing home two pickup cards with the child’s name on it. Parents and guardians are asked to please display these cards in the front windshield of your car. This will help us load students more efficiently. After the first few days of school, students will not be allowed to be picked up without these cards and parents will be sent to the office to sign the student out. Students in grades K-1 will be picked up in the back of the school through the car rider line, and students in grades 2-6 will be dismissed and are to be picked up in the front of the school. All parents/guardians are asked to use the proper procedures for picking up students. You will need to fill out the “beginning of the year dismissal form” with your signature/permission indicating that your child is to walk home if that is the desired dismissal plan for your child.
We are looking forward to a wonderful school year. Please plan to join us on August 1st from 4:00-6:00 PM for Open House, with a Title 1 Meeting at 4:30. You are always welcome to contact me with any questions that you may have. You can also contact your child’s teacher with any questions that you may have via our website at www.clintonschools.org I am looking forward to a successful school year!
