I was born and raised in Knoxville, TN in the Carter Community.  I attended Riverdale Elementary School K-4, a very small community school.  The school closed before I began 5th grade, so I attended Sunnyview Elementary.  Then I went on to Carter Middle and High School. I currently live in Powell. I have 2 sons and 2 twin granddaughters.

This will be my 19th year teaching, and 7th year teaching at Clinton Elementary!  Before teaching in CCS, I taught at Powell Elementary in Knox County.  I’ve taught 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades. In May of 1999, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Tennessee Knoxville. Then I continued my educational career by completing my Masters in Curriculum & Instruction through Lincoln Memorial University.  I graduated with my Masters of Education in December 2008. In 2018, I completed coursework through Carson Newman University to add on my Administration & Supervision endorsement.
